OBITUARIES Daily Record, Morris County, N.J., Tuesday, January 23, 2001 A11 Amelia A. Miller retired clerical worker DENVILLE TWP. Amelia A. (Soroka) Miller died Saturday at Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley Nursing Home in Littleton, Mass. She was the wife of John P.

Miller, who died in 1989. She was 85. Born in Tamaqua, on Dec. 26, 1915, the daughter of the late Aleck and Mary Soroka, she lived in Harrison during her early years and later moved to Kearny after her marriage. Her husband was retired from the Air Force, and during his active duty years they were stationed at Flemendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska, and Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Ga.

In 1962, they moved to Denville. She was a member of St. Mary's Parish and worked in clerical positions for various local businesses during her stay in Denville. In February 2000, she moved to Massachusetts to live with her son and daughter-in-law. Survivors include an only son, John P.

Jr. and his wife Mary Eve of Westford, a sister, Anna Husvar of Harrison; a nephew, George Husvar of Harrison; and two grandchildren, Michael Miller of Lawrence, and Christine Milller of Nahant, Mass. Funeral on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Denville (973) 627-1880 for a 9:30 a.m. Liturgy of Christian Burial service at St.

Woolworth retiree HANOVER TWP. M. Florence Magee died Monday at Morris Hills Nursing Home in Morristown. She was 90. Born in the Whippany section of Hanover, she was a lifelong resident.

Ms. Magee worked at F.W. Woolworth in Morristown for more than 25 years before retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Hanover Township Senior Citizens and the Presbyterian Church of Morris Plains, which she attended for more than years. Her sisters, Edith and her husband Stanley Sisco and Evelyn and her husband Vernon Little, and a niece, Mildred Magee, all died previously.

Survivors include a sister, Alberta E. of Whippany; a niece, Joan Emmons of Morris Plains; a great-niece, Kim Emmons-Benjat and her husband Brian; and their children, Joshua, Edward and Hannah Lindsey, all of Washington, D.C. A service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 25, noon at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Road, Whippany. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Morris Plains Memorial Fund, 400 Speedwell Morris Plains, N.J. 07950 or a charity of your choice. David C. Hislop 83, attorney FLORHAM PARK David C. Hislop died Sunday at home.

He was 83. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Florham Park for 40 years. A 1938 graduate of Rutgers University with a bachelor of arts degree and a 1942 John Marshall Law School graduate, Mr. Hislop was an attorney at Farrell Lines in Manhattan for 40 years. He served in the Army during World War II from 1943 to 1946.

He was a member of the American Legion Robert L. Hague Merchant Marine Industries Post 1242, where he was the commander from 1980 to 1986, the board of trustees of Morris 2000, the Morris County Republican Club and the American Bar Association. He served on the board of directors of Morris County McRides. He served on the Florham Park Borough Council from 1973 to 1993 and was president of the council and the fire and police commissioner. He also served as president of the Morris County League of Municipalities.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie (Myers); three sons, Kenneth David C. Jr. and Peter and two brothers, Walter W. and Raymond R. Funeral from Leonardis Florham Park Memorial Home, 210 Ridgedale Ave.

Bowen Sr. 95, formerly of Mendham EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. David G. Bowen Sr. died Sunday at home.

He was 95. Born in Scranton, he lived in Mendham before moving to East Stroudsburg in 1999. He also had lived in Brooklyn, Indianapolis, East Orange and Orange. Mr. Bowen was a machinist at Worthington Corp.

in Harrison for 25 years before retiring in 1970. His wife, Carolyn Cosgrove Bowen, died in 1947. Survivors include a son, David G. Jr. of East Stroudsburg; two granddaughters, Amy Guenzel of Flanders and Carolyn Short of Pequannock; and four greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Road, Mendham. Interment Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Edward J.

Danielson Sr. 92, formerly of Mine Hill LAKE ARROWHEAD, Calif. Edward J. Danielson Sr. died Jan.

16 at Mountainside Healthcare Center in San Bernardino, Calif. from complications following a broken hip. He was 92. He lived in Mine Hill before moving to Lake Arrowhead. Mr.

Danielson worked in the metal products section of inert components at Picatinny Arsenal for 37 years before retiring in 1965. He was a charter member of Lakeland First Baptist Church of the Nazarene in Denville and attended Community Baptist Church in Lake Arrowhead. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Annie; a son, Edward Jr. and his wife Esther; three grandchildren, Karen Cligny, Shari Sides and Beverly Shockley; and four great-grandchildren, Jonalin Cligny, Janelle Cligny, Breegan Shockley and Zeke Shockley. Donations may be made to The Gideons International or your local hospice.

Nancy M. Odom 64, formerly of Lake Intervale BERKSHIRE, N.Y. Nancy M. Odom died Sunday after a long illness. She was 64.

Born in Waltham, she lived in Lake Intervale before moving to Berkshire in 1984. Mrs. Odom was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Newark Valley, N.Y. and thoroughly enjoyed living in the country.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Richard her children and their spouses, Sharon and Dan DiBonaventura of Newton, Sue and Rick Genevese of Tiberlake, N.C., Rick E. of Denville, Kim and Dan Mullooly of Andover, Kevin and Laura Odom of Sparta; six grandchildren; two Noreen sisters, MarCarrino; and several nieces and nephews. Mass today at 4 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church.

Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Dorothy R. Riley 86, worked with Edison RANDOLPH TWP. Dorothy R. Riley died Saturday at Milford Manor in West Milford after a short illness.

She was 86. Born in Newark, she lived in Livingston before moving to Randolph in 1955. Mrs. Riley was a homemaker. She also worked with Thomas Edison in West Orange during World War II.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Vincent a son, Russell and a daughterin-law, Denise, of Hudsonville, a brother, Edward Falk of Long Beach Island; a sister, Helen Tahaney of Livingston; and two grandchildren, Laura and Tim. Services will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10, Randolph on Thursday, Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. Visitation on Wednesday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 200 Cottontail Lane, Somerset, N.J. 08873. Robert J. Federer 77, financial partner MORRISTOWN Robert Joseph Federer died Sunday at Morristown Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was 77.

Born in Manhattan, he lived in New Jersey most of his life. Mr. Federer graduated from Taft School in Watertown, Conn. and completed his freshman year at Lafayette College before being drafted into the Army. He served in Europe during World War II and was decorated with the Order of the Purple Heart for combat injuries sustained in Anzio, Italy.

After spending two years in military hospitals and undergoing extensive reconstructive surgery, Bob attended and graduated from Babson College in Wellesley, Mass. with a degree in business administration. He became a stockbroker with the New Jersey firm Nugent and Igoc, and ultimately a partner with Tucker Anthony and R.L. Day. A longtime resident of Madison, Bob divided his retirement years between Morristown and Naples, Fla.

He is remembered by family and friends for his landscaping expertise and passion for gardening. He was a member of the Bond Club of New Jersey and the Morris County Country Club. His parents, Anton Joseph and Suzanne Federer, both died previously. Survivors include his wife, Virginia (Schick); and a son and daughter-in-law, Eric Anton Federer and Lee Wendell Read Federer. Private funeral arrangements will be under the direction of Burroughs, Kohr and Dangler Funeral Home.

Sattely 77, World War II Marine ROCKAWAY Richard Joseph Sattely died Sunday at St. Clare's He was 77. Born in New Milford, he lived in Rockaway for 43 years. Mr. Sattely was a carpenter at Richard J.

Sattely Home Improvements for 50 years before retiring in 1998. He served in the Marine Corps as a private first class during World War II from 1942 to 1945. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jean; three sons, Richard J. Jr. of Denville, Dennis Edward of Mine Hill and Michael J.

of Flanders; two daughters, Kathleen Jean Kohler of Landing and Cynthia Knutson of Omaha, a brother, Arthur; and five grandchildren. Arrangements are by Whitham-Kanapaux Funeral Home, 20 Keller Rockaway. Barbara S. Van Deursen 73, Mendham nurse CHESTER TWP. Barbara Sparrow Van Deursen died Monday at Holly Manor Center in Mendham.

She was 73. Born in Brooklyn, she lived in Far Hills before moving to Chester Township 42 years ago. Mrs. Van Deursen was a registered nurse with Dr. Daniel Kirshenbaum of Mendham and Dr.

John Hopper, formerly of Mendham. She served on the Mendham Board of Health. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, John; three sons, Howard M. of Bethlehem, John R. of Kettering, Ohio and William of Port Murray; and six grandchildren.

Born in Castel Nuovo, Italy, she lived in Morris Plains since 1956. Mrs. De Lorenzo was a seamstress and dressmaker for many years in Morristown. She was a member of St. Virgil's Parish and the Morris Plains Senior Citizens Club.

Her husband, Rocco died in January 1999. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Nancy) Soranno of Morris Plains; a brother, Pat Di Ruggiero, of Morris Plains; three grandchildren, Joanne Landi Conroy of Brick, John Landi of Henderson, and Patricia Landi Metter of Jefferson; and three great-grandchildren, Daniel, Kelly and Anthony. (23, 24) Antoinette Bullas 94, great great -grandmother STANHOPE Antoinette Bullas died Thursday at St. Clare's She was 94. Born in Montreal, Canada, she lived most of her life in the Ledgewood section of Roxbury Township before moving to Stanhope in 1994. Mrs. Bullas was a waitress at Newbury's in Dover.

She was a former member of St. Therese's Roman Catholic Church in Succasunna. Her husband, Samuel, died in 1982; two sons, George and Jerome Grenier; and a daughter, Lillian Nester; all died previously. Survivors include three sons, Samuel of Stanhope, Edward Grenier of Missouri and Donald Grenier of South Carolina; two daughters, Antoinette Cole of Colorado and Loretta Trammell of Texas; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
